My career in public service began at the local level, working to fight hunger at Meals on Wheels in Charlotte. It was there that I witnessed a fundamental truth: you cannot expect people to thrive if their basic needs aren't being met. That experience sparked a lifelong commitment to grassroots advocacy and protecting our most vulnerable communities. For the past six years, I have taken that fight to the national stage, working in federal nutrition policy to protect food access for millions.

But advocacy isn't just my profession—it’s who I am. As a Wake County parent, I see our schools as the heartbeat of our community, and as the sister of a public school teacher, I know exactly how much we are asking of our educators.

I’m running for the School Board because I believe Wake County deserves a leader who doesn't just talk about problems, but knows how to solve them. I want to bring my background in policy and my passion for social justice to this role. I have spent my life bringing people together to deliver real solutions for the communities that need them most, and I am ready to do the exact same for Wake County schools.
