My career in public service began at the local level, working to fight hunger at Meals on Wheels in Charlotte. It was there that I witnessed a fundamental truth: you cannot expect people to thrive if their basic needs aren't being met. That experience sparked a lifelong commitment to grassroots advocacy and protecting our most vulnerable communities. For the past six years, I have taken that fight to the national stage, working in federal nutrition policy to protect food access for millions.

But advocacy isn't just my profession, it’s a fundamental part of how I show up for my community every day. As a WCPSS parent, I’ve served at the Board Advisory level and volunteered at the NC General Assembly to fight for the issues that directly impact our children and families, like public school funding, gun safety reform, voting rights, immigrant rights, and environmental protection.

I’m running for School Board because Wake County doesn't need more talking points. We need leaders who know how to do the hard work and follow through until our schools get real results. I’ve spent my life bringing people together to tackle tough challenges, and I’m ready to bring that same grit and dedication to our schools.
